Tapiture had another strong showing during Thursday’s session of the OBS Spring Sale of 2-year-olds in Training when a colt by the Darby Dan stallion sold for $160,000.
Consigned by Envision Equine, agent, hip No. 884 went to John Dowd, as agent for Little Red Feather Racing.
The bay youngster is out of the stakes winner Peisinoe and is a half-brother to graded stakes-placed colt Proverb. Peisinoe herself is a half-sister to Sorrento S. (G2) winner Concave.
After finishing 2021 ranked third on the Third-Crop Sire list, Tapiture is off to an excellent start in 2022, and is in the top three on the Fourth-Crop list by winners, progeny earnings and black type horses.
